Ghana Marks 80th Remembrance Day
President John Dramani Mahama, the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, and other dignitaries at the Christiansburg War Cemetery in Accra to commemorate the 80th Remembrance Day.
The ceremony honoured the sacrifices of Ghanaian soldiers who fought and died in World Wars 1 and 2.
In a solemn atmosphere, wreaths were laid, and a two-minute silence observed at 11am to remember the fallen heroes.
Tributes were paid to the brave soldiers who gave their lives for peace and freedom.
Remembrance Day, observed annually on November 11, is a reminder of the sacrifices made during the two World Wars.
