Court remands suspect in fatal shooting during enstoolment ceremony at Nungua
The District Court has today, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, remanded into Police custody suspect Samuel Adjei in connection with the fatal shooting incident that occurred during an enstoolment ceremony at Nungua in the Greater Accra Region on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
The suspect was arraigned on the charge of murder.
Preliminary investigations have indicated that during the enstoolment
ceremony, the suspect allegedly discharged live ammunition from a single-barrel gun, striking the deceased, Naa Borley Ahmed, in the right thigh.
She was rushed to the Hospital for medical attention but died while receiving treatment.
Following his arrest, Samuel Adjei was put before the court where he was
remanded and expected to reappear on Wednesday, 12th March 2025.
