Count yourself automatically dismissed if you fail to declare your assets by Wednesday, President Mahama to appointees
President John Dramani Mahama has sounded a strong warning to his appointees who have failed to declare their assets.
According to him, those who have failed to declare their assets would forfeit three months salary to Mahama Care Fund.
Additionally, those who still fail to declare their assets by Wednesday will automatically be dismissed from his government.
“If by close of day Wednesday, 7th May, 2025, any of you still fail to declare your assets, count yourself automatically dismissed,” he warned.
The President made these revelations today at the Jubilee House, during the unveiling of a strict Code of Conduct to regulate the activities of all appointees and ensure transparency and accountability in government.
All appointees of President Mahama were given up to March 31, 2025 to declare their assets; however, some are yet to comply with the directive.
The Ghana Medical Trust Fund (MahamaCares) is an initiative aimed at providing financial assistance to individuals living with chronic diseases across the country.
Already, all appointees of the government were to commit one month of their salary to the health initiative.
