All set for Sleeky Promotions 69th Independence anniversary concert in Manchester

Ghana’s 69th Independence anniversary will be marked in the United Kingdom with a major music and cultural concert in Manchester.

The event is being organised by Sleeky Promotions in partnership with 1957 Empire and is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Ukrainian Cultural Centre in Manchester.

The celebration is expected to bring together Ghanaians living in the diaspora, friends of Ghana, and music lovers to commemorate the country’s independence.

Patrons will be treated to performances by top Ghanaian and international music artistes, comedy acts, and other cultural activities designed to showcase Ghana’s rich heritage.

The concert will be delivered with world-class production to give attendees a memorable experience while strengthening cultural ties between Ghana and its supporters abroad.

The event is sponsored by Ocean Bells Travel and Tour, a Ghanaian travel and ticketing agency.

Ghana gained independence from British colonial rule on March 6, 1957, becoming the first country in sub-Saharan Africa to attain independence.
