Yvonne Nelson used Sarkodie as a selling point for her memoir -Arnold Baidoo

Astute entertainment pundit, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo believes that the mention of Sarkodie’s name in Yvonne Nelson’s memoir was strategic.

Yvonne Nelson got everyone talking after the release of her memoir titled “I AM NOT YVONNE NELSON.”

The book was launched on Sunday June 18, 2023 at the Peduase Valley Resort in the Eastern Region.

The chapter 8 of the book which reveals a story about an abortion she had in 2010, mentioned multiple award-winning rapper, Sarkodie as the one responsible for it.

This raised a lot of arguments as to why Yvonne Nelson would mention Sarkodie, at a point the musician is married with family and flourishing in his music career.

This notwithstanding, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo believes that, Yvonne Nelson did that strategically to use Sarkodie as a selling point to market her memoir.

Speaking on United Showbiz, on Saturday, he said, the Sarkodie element was supposed to be the marketing strategy .

The entertainment pundit added that revelation of getting pregnant for Sarkodie and later aborting based on the advice of the rapper, has sustained conversations around the book.

According to him, Sarkodie is one of our biggest exports musically and Yvonne Nelson intentionally mentioned him for the needed buzz for her memoir.

“He the artiste with the biggest following, biggest influence, and biggest clout,” he added.

He further noted that most importantly, Sarkodie is seen as a doting father, and a loving husband , for this reason, Arnold Baidoo believes that at the mention of his name, the memoir will be generate attention.

Finally he said due to the influence of Sarkodie, everyone paid attention to his chapter before following up on any other chapter.
