Winning Producer of the Year an honour – Godwin Dogbey

Producer of Okay FM’s drive time programme, Ekwanso Dwoodwo, Godwin Dogbey has expressed his appreciation to the organisers of Ghana Entertainment Awards USA and his admirers for the recognition.

According to him, winning the Producer of the Year comes as a boost for his career spanning over a decade.

In an interview with The Spectator, he said it was an honour to him to emerge out of the lot for the prestigious prize, which happens to be the first for his career,  adding that it feels good to see one’s work impacting lives.

He expressed appreciation to Abeiku Santana for unearthing and engineering his radio and television production path.

“The whole journey of radio and TV production was engineered by Abeiku Santana, my godfather, all the glory goes to him,” he said.

Mr. Dogbey also expressed gratitude to management of Despite Media and members of his team for the constant support and contribution to the success of the drive time show.

He added that the award meant that there was more task ahead, and a standard to be kept.

The 4th Ghana Entertainment Awards USA was recently held at the Tribeca Performing Arts Centre in New York.
