Trigmatic and Friends to celebrate Dr. Kwame Nkrumah tonight

Trigmatic, known in real life as Nana Yaw Oduro-Agyei will together with his friends celebrate the legacy of Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr.Kwame Nkrumah tonight at the Alliance Francaise.
This event is aimed at honouring Osagyefo Dr.Kwame Nkrumah’s legacy in music, arts and theatre.
Tonight’s show will feature Ayisi, Epixode, Josh Black and Nana Asaase among others.
Trigmatic is expected to perform about 20 songs live on stage with Adwenpa Band, and says the theatre facet of the event “is a collaborative work with Abibigromma Group and Ghana Dance Ensemble”, with narration from celebrated Ghanaian poet Nana Asaase.
Speaking about the concert’s birth, he revealed, “when I looked at how they eulogized him, I (thought to myself) we don’t do this that much, so why not do something like a concert around Dr. Nkrumah.”
He noted that the decision was heavily supported by fellow broadcaster and friend Antoine Mensah.
“I read a bit more about some of the things that Dr. Nkrumah did for arts and it blew my mind. Since then I said let’s do this and call it Osagyefo’s Night, if not for anything, to remind people in the arts space that this is a man that had the arts at heart and actually did things that would enable the industry,” Trigmatic concluded.
