“The president is heartbroken after the helicopter crash” – Shamima Muslim

The Deputy Presidential Spokesperson at the Jubilee House, Shamima Muslim, says President John Dramani Mahama is deeply heartbroken by the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight individuals, including two of his close ministers.
Speaking in an interview with Broadcast Journalist, Bernard Avle, Ms. Muslim said the president is not fine and is mourning like every other Ghanaian.
She stressed that the late ministers were not just colleagues, but close and trusted companions who had served alongside the president for many years.
She revealed that some of the deceased played a major role in the daily affairs of the presidency, as well as with President Mahama through difficult political times, earning his trust through loyalty and dedication.
According to her, the First Lady, Madam Lordina Mahama, was also devastated by the loss, but the president and his wife were finding strength in their faith.
She said several pastors had visited and prayed with them, offering words of comfort and encouragement during this painful moment.
Despite the shock and pain, Shamima assured Ghanaians that the president remains committed to his duties and will.
“In due time, he will address the nation and celebrate the lives of the eight individuals who died in the crash” she asserted.
