Take me to court if you believe I have stolen your song- Wendy Shay dares Barima Sidney

Some music analysts have raised a case of interpolation of Sidney’s music against Wendy Shay.

This follows the release of her new song dubbed “African Money” few days ago.

During an interview on UTV’s United Showbiz programme on Saturday, Wendy Shay, dared Ghanaian hiplife legend, Barima Sydney to take her on.

This was a response to those who have asserted that her new song was an interpolation of Sidney’s African Money song released in 2008.

Wendy Shay said, ” I went to music school for four years and I have been doing music professionally for five years, so I know issues of copyright infringement and voilation.”

According to her, no one has legal right over words to prevent others from using same.

“If legendary Sidney feels my song is similar to his, he can sue me and I am ready for that, maybe I will learn something new, if it turns out to be a fine, I will pay,” the emphasized.

According to Wendy Shay, she has not stolen any song, however if someone thinks otherwise, she is ready to meet that person in court.
