Police arrest suspect for unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition
The Western Central Regional Police Command on May 29, 2025 arrested a suspect, Yahaya Seidu, for unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition at Aponteng Krom in the Western Region.
The suspect was seen in possession of a locally manufactured pistol and, when questioned, could not provide any lawful justification for possessing the firearm.
Police retrieved from the suspect one locally manufactured pistol and two live cartridges.
The suspect is currently in police custody, assisting the investigation and will be put before the court.
