The Pan African Writers Association (PAWA) last Friday commemorated African Writers’ Day with a Literary Legend’s Evening. The event, held at the PAWA House in Roman Ridge, Accra, marked the climax of the annual Ghana Association of Writers Book Festival (GAWBOFEST), in honour of literary icon Prof. Ladé Wosornu.

The celebration was jointly organised by the Ghana Association of Writers and the Creative Arts Agency of Ghana, and also featured the announcement of the planned “Ladé Wosornu Literary Nest” project. The initiative aims to discover and nurture emerging Ghanaian literary talents.

With over 200 participants, the evening centred on discussions about Prof. Wosornu’s contributions to education, culture, and Ghana’s literary heritage.
