Mint lemonade
Ingredients:
• 1 cup of fresh mint leaves
• 1 cup of fresh lemon juice
• 3 tablespoonful of sugar (or to taste, honey can also be used)
• Ice cubes
• Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions:
In a large glass, combine the mint leaves and sugar.
Use a wooden spoon to gently crush the mint leaves and sugar together. (This releases the mint’s oil and aroma).
Stir the fresh lemon juice and cold water. (Mix well until the sugar is completely dissolved).
For a stronger mint and lemon flavour, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to an hour to allow the flavours to infuse.
Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the mint lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with a slice of lemon.
