Mfantsiman Girls holds 63rd Speech and Prize Giving Day

Mfantsiman Girls School located at Saltpond in the central Region has celebrated its 63rd speech and prize giving day with a call on all stakeholders to support the education of children in the country.
Mrs Gloria Nyanteh a member of MOGA 98, who made the call explained that, parents, teachers and government were critical players in the education of students.
This year’s event supported by the 1998-year group of Mfantsiman Old Girls Association (MOGA 98) was on the theme: “Re-positioning Mfantsiman Girls for academic excellence: The role of stakeholders”.
It also marked the 25th anniversary after the 1998-year group completed their secondary education.
Mrs Nyanteh expressed appreciation to past students of the various senior high schools to support their schools in improving academic excellence.
She explained that the school had contributed immensely in moulding them towards achieving excellence in their various fields of endeavour.
She also called on the students to study and justify the investments being made in their education.
A Deputy Minister of Education, Rev John Ntim Fordjour, in an address, noted that Mfantsiman Girls continue to be one of the high performing schools in the country, saying: “The school has raised some of the great people we have in this nation”.
He said the training students received on campus was one of the best one could find anywhere and said Mfantsiman Girls had supported and trained girls to be bold and daring.
The Central Regional Minister, Mrs Justina Marigold Assan, in a speech read on her behalf, commended the school for its contribution towards national development.
She urged management of the school not to lower the standard of training for the girls, stating that Management of Mfantsiman Girls must make frantic efforts in guarding the image of the school.
