Medikal, Shatta Wale and accomplices granted bail
Top Ghanaian musicians, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, and Samuel Adu Frimpong, affectionately called Medikal, together with three others have been granted bail by an Accra Circuit court.
Shatta Wale was granted a self-recognisance bail in the sum of GHc100,000.
His accomplices, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, known as Nana Dope, Eric Venator, aka Gangee and Iddriss Yussif have also been granted bail in the sum of 100,000 each with one common surety who must be a public officer.
Shatta Wale is facing charges of publication of false news while his accomplices have been charged for abetment.
The court presided over by Mr Emmanuel Essandoh also granted bail to Ghanaian hip-hop musician Medikal, is facing the court for allegedly displaying his Ruger 9mm pistol in a video he posted on social media.
Medikal was granted bail in the sum of GHc100,000 with one surety.
They are to re-appear before the court on November 9, 2021.
