Massive Turnout at ‘Shattabration’
There was a massive turnout on Saturday at the Black Star Square in Accra for Shatta Wale’s much-anticipated birthday concert.
Themed ‘Shatta Fest 2025 x Shattabration: The King Calls’, the event brought together lovers of Shatta Wale.
Charles Nii Armah Jnr, popularly known as Shatta Wale, whose birthday fell on October 17, told The Spectator Agoro that the concert was his way of showing appreciation to fans who have stood by him over the years.
According to reports, fans started arriving as early as midday. The entire venue and the adjoining streets were jam-packed with supporters, many clad in white to celebrate the self-acclaimed Dancehall King.
The event featured performances by Sarkodie, Samini, Wendy Shay, Medikal, and others including Kelvynboy, Amerado, Darko Vibes, Tinny, JZyNo, Kwame Yogot, and DopeNation.
Shatta Fest 2025 was powered by MoMo Fest (Mobile Money Ghana Limited), with support from Shaxi and Charterher.
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale has submitted his latest single “Street Crown” to the Recording Academy for consideration in next year’s Grammy Awards, expressing optimism about earning a nomination.
