Massive turn out at NDC demonstration

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) held a na­tionwide demonstration on Tuesday, September 17 against the Electoral Commission. The demonstration took place in all 16 regional capitals in Ghana.

The “Enough is Enough” demonstration had a massive turn out with demonstrators dressed in red and black at­tires.

The aim of this demonstra­tion was to send petition to the Electoral Commission for a forensic audit of the voter’s register to ensure free and fair elections.

Amidst singing, drumming and dancing, demonstrators show­cased placards with different inscriptions some of which were “No clean register, no peace”, “Jean Mensah don’t set our Ghana on fire”, “Forensic audit now, no more secrets” and “Voters are suffering”.

The demonstration included both the young, youth and the aged who also wanted a free, fair and transparent elections.

Police officers were also on ground to ensure a successful demonstration.
