Man jailed seven months for inciting violence
The Ghana Police Service has secured the conviction of David Kwodwo Prah Afful, also known as Kwame Nkrumah II, for inciting violence against public officials and government workers.
Afful was arrested on September 13, 2025, and charged with threat of death and offensive conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace.
He appeared before Circuit Court 8 in Accra, presided over by His Honour Amoah Hagan.
Afful pleaded not guilty to the charge of threat of death but admitted to the charge of offensive conduct.
On his own plea, the court convicted him and sentenced him to seven months in prison with hard labour for offensive conduct.
The case on the threat of death charge has been adjourned to October 15, 2025.
The police said Afful is being processed for transfer to the Nsawam Medium Security Prison to serve his sentence.
They assured the public that anyone who threatens public peace, safety and national security will face the law.
