Maiden ‘Borode’ festival launched to promote local cuisine

Mcphilix Limited has launched the maiden ‘Borode’ festival to promote Ghana’s local delicacy through music and other entertaining activities.
‘Borode’ (plantain) is a nutrient-rich Ghanaian delicacy with a lot of health benefits.
Patrons of the festival would enjoy musical performances from some of Ghana’s exciting artistes, comedians and close with an award ceremony.
The festival set for March 7-8, 2025 is aimed at uniting communities through food, culture, and will bring people from all walks of life to share in the joy of traditional Ghanaian food, music, and dance.
Mr Felix Afutu, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mcphilix Limited said,
“We are thrilled to launch the Borode festival which celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Ghana.”
He said the celebration which falls in line with their 10th anniversary would serve as a launch pad to their next chapter as a growing company.
Mr. Afutu also called on Corporate Ghana to come on board to make the event a success.
The General Manager of Mcphilix Limited, Akosua Naana Lexis Obenewaa Opoku-Agyemang, highlighted the festival’s activities including games, cooking competition, documentary and others from March 7-8, 2025.
The Human Resource Manager for Mcphilix, Georgina Adomako-Mensah, on her part explained that Borode festival is a key event in the company’s 10th anniversary celebration.
