Mahama embarks on peace mission to Bawku and Nalerigu
President John Dramani Mahama has today, Tuesday, January 14, 2025 undertaken a crucial peace-building mission to Bawku and Nalerigu.
The peace mission reflects the President’s broader vision for a united Ghana.
His move is to ensure disputes are addressed through diplomacy and mutual understanding.
“The President is determined to resolve the decades-old conflict in Bawku and will use the visit to engage the conflict factions and key stakeholders to promote dialogue to achieve lasting peace,” stated Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Acting Presidential Spokesperson.
Ahead of the visit, the President met heads of various security agencies for a critical dialogue on the situation.
