ICGC Prayer Temple, Touching Hearts donate to Akosombo Dam Spillage victims

The Touching Hearts is an Outreach Ministry of the head pastor of the church, Pastor Daniel Ofori Awuku.

Together with the church located at North Legon in Accra, they have touched many lives over the years.

The Prayer Temple assembly of the International Central Gospel Church together with Touching Hearts Ministry on Tuesday, December 14, 2023 donated relief items to the victims of the Akosombo Dam Spillage.

The delegation from the church were received at the new alternative housing project housing about 300 victims at Mepe in North Tongu.

They presented items such as bags of clothes, shoes, slippers, bundles of sponge, boxes of soaps, washing powder, rice, noodles, and boxes of groundnut among others. 

According to Pastor Daniel Ofori Awuku it is the way the church is extending a comforting arm to the troubled in difficult times.

He was optimistic that the items presented to the victims at Mepe in North Tongu District would go a long way to put smiles on their faces.

Pastor Daniel Ofori Awuku disclosed that another batch of relief items would be sent to the Northern part of the country to cushion victims who were also affected by the Akosombo Dam Spillage. 

He expressed appreciation to the members of the church for their benevolence.

The leadership who received the items on behalf of the affected people also expressed their appreciation to the church for coming to their aid at this crucial time.

Over Twelve thousand people have been displaced and housed in about 21 camps in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region.
