“I was very harsh to Mahama; he has been very good to me” – Kennedy Agyepong

Flag bearer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2028 general elections, Kennedy Agyepong, has admitted that he was harsh towards President John Dramani Mahama in the past, even though Mahama had always treated him kindly.
Speaking in an interview with Kwesi Pratt Jr, owner of the Pan African TV, the former Assin Central MP said he has since apologized to the former president for his actions, acknowledging that Mahama and his wife had always shown him love, which he ignored because of party politics.
“I was harsh. But President Mahama has been very nice to me. He loves me, and his wife too. Because of party issues, I ignored that relationship and kept criticizing. That’s why I apologized to him,” Kennedy said.
He added that during his campaign for the NPP flagbearer position, some members of his own party turned against him and began using his old statements as attacks.
“When I was criticizing the NDC, my party was happy. But the moment I decided to contest, those same things were used against me. They called it the ‘ten sins of Kennedy Agyepong’ and spread it around,” he pointed out.
Kennedy explained that he has now decided to remain quiet to reduce the criticism from his party members.
“My argument is, in the Bible, we have Ten Commandments. Since Abraham’s time, they’ve never added one to make eleven. So if they say ten sins of Kennedy Agyepong, I leave it to God,” he added.
