The Member of Parliament for Ladzokuku Constituency, Hon. Benjamin Ayiku Nartey has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Ga-English Diglot initiative by the Ghana Bible Society to promote Evangelism in the country.

He made this statement during the launch of the first ever Revised Ga-English Diglot held at Peniel Presbyterian Church, Teshie Salem in Accra on the theme, “We heard them speak in our own language” (Acts 25-12).

He applauded the Council and all persons who contributed to the creation of the masterpiece.

The Revised Ga-English Diglot, he said, would not only help in spreading the gospel and winning souls for Christ, but allow for the promotion of Ghana’s heritage.

“Although, several measures have been put in place to promote our cultural  heritage, the aspect of language has been largely ignored. I believe efforts such as this would be instrumental in promoting our heritage.

This Ga-English Diglot, I believe, has the tendency to educate Ga, especially the youth, to have a better appreciation of the Ga language”,

Language, he averred, as a tool in gospel advocacy, had proven itself very essential tool in preaching the gospel.

“The perfect example of this was the gift of tongues given to the 12 disciples by the Holy Spirit to assist the deciples in their missionary work.

As such, the church’s exploits in producing this Diglot highlights some remarkable efforts in promoting Evangelism and to this, I salute”.
