GTA CEO Efua Houadjeto grabs 2 awards at 15th Goldbond RTP Awards
Maame Efua Houadjeto, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), has added two significant honours to what is becoming a defining streak of leadership excellence.
At the 15th Goldbond RTP Awards, held at the Accra International Conference Centre, she was named Best Public Company CEO of the Year 2025, a recognition of her strategic management and transformative approach within the public sector.
This follows her international recognition as Global Cultural Ambassador at a Pre-Grammy event in Beverly Hills ahead of the 2026 Grammy Awards, a distinction that reflects her growing influence in positioning Ghana’s tourism and creative economy on the global stage.
These recognitions come on the heels of a year widely regarded as a turning point for Ghana’s tourism. Reflecting on the recognition, Mrs Houadjeto noted that, “These honours are not just personal milestones. They reflect the collective effort of the Ghana Tourism Authority, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, and our partners to position Ghana’s culture and tourism as global assets with lasting value.”
Under her leadership, initiatives such as December in Ghana, Heritage Month, culinary activations like Taste 68 at 68, and strengthened diaspora and cultural diplomacy efforts have reshaped how Ghana presents herself to the world.
The local award affirms operational excellence. The international honour signals cultural impact beyond Ghana’s borders. Together, they reinforce a consistent pattern: strategic leadership delivering measurable visibility and influence.
As Ghana continues to strengthen its tourism agenda, her recent awards underscore more than achievement; they signal momentum.
