Foreign Affairs Minister welcomes new envoys to Ghana
Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has officially received new envoys accredited to the country.
At a brief ceremony held at the ministry, Mr. Ablakwa received letters of accreditation from seven newly appointed Ambassadors and High Commissioners.
He described the occasion as a “true honour and great privilege” for Ghana.
The new envoys include His Excellency Gariballa Khidir Ali, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Sudan; His Excellency Jakob Linulf, Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Denmark; and His Excellency Christian Stefan Rogg, High Commissioner-Designate of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Others are His Excellency Najeeb Durrani, High Commissioner-Designate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan; His Excellency Rune Skinnebach, Ambassador-Designate of the European Union Delegate; His Excellency John Mikal Kvistad, Ambassador-Designate of Norway; and His Excellency Wael Fathy Ahmed, Ambassador-Designate of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Mr. Ablakwa noted that Ghana warmly welcomes the new envoys and looks forward to strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation with their respective countries and institutions.
He assured them of the government’s full support in carrying out their diplomatic duties while in Ghana.
