A breast cancer advocate, Ms Antoinette Kwofie, has called on women to translate breast cancer awareness into swift and decisive action if Ghana is to make progress in tackling the disease.

According to her, although awareness of breast cancer has increased significantly, the fight against the disease cannot be won if women delay seeking early diagnosis and treatment.

“Awareness matters, but awareness without action is not enough. Pink must have a purpose: it must move a woman to get screened, give someone the courage to seek care without delay, and remind every woman facing breast cancer that she is not alone,” she cautioned.
