EPA gives to W/R police command

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has donated industrial face masks and books to the Western Regional Police Command at Sekondi.

The Deputy Executive Director of EPA, Mr. Ebenezer Appah-Sampong said the donation was to assist the police at Appiatse as government was about to start the reconstruction of the destroyed community.

He said as construction was on going, there would be air pollution and so the need would the face masks to protect themselves from the dust and other pollutants.

Mr. Appah-Sampong said the books were a variety which could assist the police to broaden their knowledge in some fields as they went about their daily duties.

The Western Regional Police Commander, DCOP, Mr. Fosu Agyemang who received the donation on behalf of the command thanked the Agency for coming to the aid of the police.

He promised that “the PPEs will be taken to the Appiatse site and distributed to the officers on the ground”.

DCOP Agyemang appealed to corporate organisations to assist the police to carry out their duty without any hindrance since they were there to protect life and property.
