December in GH: Come to Ghana, we are ready for you – IGP tells the world
The Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo-Dampare has invited revellers across the world to come and experience December in GH this year.
The IGP made this call during a meeting with Creative Industry stakeholders in Accra on Tuesday.
Speaking at the ceremony, he invited people all over the world to come to Ghana and enjoy the yuletide.
” This year will be joyous and we tell everybody leaving anywhere in the world to come,” he added.
Against this backdrop he said Ghanaians and the police are ready for everyone, adding that they will give them the best of policing.
He noted that the police will beef up their security during and after events to ensure safety.
December in GH’ was originally launched in 2019, during the Year of Return as a tourism activation and has since become an important part of marketing events that attract thousands to visit Ghana for the holiday season into the new year.
It is one of the biggest activations in Ghana’s tourism sector and one that touches on the three pillars of the ministry; tourism, arts and culture.
