ASOHOM presents assorted food, learning material, cash to Street Academy
THE Ghana Association of Spouses of Heads of Mission and International Organisations (ASOHOM) last Wednesday visited the Street Academy in Accra to interact with management and children of the centre.
The group also presented assorted food, teaching and learning material with a cash amount of Gh¢3,100 to support the upkeep of the children.
The team was led by Mrs Malika Mene, the spouse of Secretary General of AFCFTA and president of ASOHOM, and Mrs Sovanna Taliercio, Vice-President of ASOHOM and spouse of the World Bank Ghana Country Director.
According to them, the presentation was to support the Academy in its effort to support the street children through school.
Ataa Lartey, the Executive Director of the Academy, expressed gratitude to the members of the association for the support and hoped that other individuals and organisations will emulate the gesture.
Ataa Lartey said the presentation would go a long way to support the 2025 edition of its annual dinner for the children and the community.
Also referred to as Christmas and end-of-year celebration, it will be held today at the premises of the Academy at 4pm.
He expressed gratitude to organisations and individuals that have supported the Academy throughout the year and was hopeful the support would be sustained to ensure that more less privileged children were supported.
