AMA, KoKMA decongest Accra

• Some refuse after the decongestion

 The Accra Metropoli­tan Assembly (AMA) in collaboration with the Korle Klottey Munici­pal Assembly (KoKMA) has conducted a three-day decongestion exercise in the Central Business District (CBD) other parts of the capital city to clear unauthorized structures.

The exercise was also to moved hawkers away from pedestrian walkways and make movement easy and to also ease traffic congestion.

The taskforce moved to areas like AMA head office area, Kinbu, Tudu, to Makola.

The move is in ac­cordance with the AMA Hawkers Bye-Laws (2017) and Section 117(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations, 2012 (L.I. 2180).
