All set for Ghana Modeling and Fashion Awards

All is set for the maiden Ghana Modeling and Fashion Awards to be held at the Accra Tourist Information Center on Saturday June 11.
 
Organised by one of Ghana’s top models Larkuor Adjartey, the event is aimed at celebrating, recognising and rewarding individuals for their contribution to the development of the fashion industry in Ghana.
 
Categories for the event include, Fashion Icon of the Year, Makeup Artiste of the Year, Fashion Photographer of the Year, Stylist of the Year (Fashionista/Red Carpet/Social Media), Emerging Fashion Designer of the Year and Fashion Designer of the Year.
 
The others are, Female Model of the Year, Male Model of the Year, Model Discovery of the Year, Hairstylist of the Year, Fashion Accessory Designer of the Year and Fitness Model of the Year.
 
The event according to organizers would witness performers from top musicians in the country as they guaranteed an incredible night for patrons.
 
Speaking to The Spectator ahead of the event, Ms Adjartey said the event would give some spotlight to the Fashion and Modeling Industry.
 
“We need to give attention to the fashion and modeling industry to make it more attractive to investors and passionate persons to get involved,” she stated.
 
The industry she said, has developed over the years and it was vital to recognize and appreciate individuals who ensured its growth within the period.
 
Being in the industry for over a decade she said, “I appreciate the level of commitment and dedication people put in to make a mark within the industry.”
