All set for Fiifi Coleman Productions’ ‘I Told You So’
THEATRE lovers are in for a memorable experience from March 5–8 at the National Theatre, as Fiifi Coleman Productions stages the classic play ‘I Told You So’.
The production is a theatrical adaptation of the original 1970 film, directed by Egbert Adjesu, and aims to bring its iconic moments to life for both old and new audiences.
Speaking to The Spectator, Fiifi Coleman said the adaptation is a way to celebrate and honor pioneers of the Ghanaian movie industry.
“Ghana will be 70 years next year. We wanted to journey back in time and create positive memories while paying tribute to those who laid the foundation for today’s industry,” he said.
Coleman also revealed plans for a remake of ‘I Told You So’, blending veteran performers with new faces to give the production a trans-generational appeal. He encouraged movie producers to focus on timeless themes that resonate across generations.
The production boasts a stellar lineup of Ghanaian talents, including legendary musician Gyedu Blay-Ambolley, actors Fred Amugi, Clemento Suarez, Mr Beautiful, Ken Fiati, Wofa Kay, and content creator Deaconess Abokuma, among others.
This adaptation promises to revive nostalgia, celebrate Ghanaian film heritage, and captivate audiences with both humor and drama.
