 Adwinsa holds national STEM Day

 Kidsathome Educational Centre in collaboration with Adwinsa Publications have held National STEM Day Fair at the University of Gha­na in Accra.

Celebrated on November 8, National STEM Day is observed to show the importance of Science, Technology, Engi­neering, Arts and Mathemat­ics.

It is celebrated to encour­age students to explore STEM careers, foster problem-solv­ing skills, and highlights STEM’s role in driving innova­tion and economic growth.

As part of the day’s activi­ties, a book was launched by Miss Eugenia Agyeiwaa Boadi, founder of KIDSATHOME Edu­cational Centre.

Titled “I CAN BE ABC FOR STEM,” the book was to help children at the kindergarten and primary level be abreast with the various occupations that comes with STEM.

In an interview with The Spectator, Miss Eugenia Agye­iwaa Boadi explained that the book was designed to build the interest of children in STEM right at the kindergar­ten level.

The “I CAN BE ABC FOR STEM” book is to help chil­dren at the primary and even kindergarten level start learn­ing Science and Mathematics and build interest in STEM. She stated.

The General Manager of Ad­winsa Publications, Mr Kwaku Oppong Amponsah, in an interview with The Spectator stated that they will provide text books and reading books to promote STEM education and have published three books already to enhance the children’s understanding of STEM.

He also said that though STEM was often talked about at the advanced level, it was important to include chil­dren at the kindergarten and primary level to broaden their knowledge about STEM.

Miss Eugenia further urged all stakeholders, parents, teachers, NGOs and all agen­cies who help in Education or children upbringing to partake in STEM education.
